Dwell in Denver Colorado

Are you looking to serve and learn from urban brothers and sisters in the city of Denver?

September 1, 2009- August 15, 2010

Live on the west side of Denver together as a team in intentional Christian community.  Dedicate the year to service, reflection, learning and experiencing the gifts as well as the needs of the city.

Denver Dwell:

Experience life in Denver with the team of 4-6 young adults. Volunteer service and outreach with a local agency/ministry. Possible internships include, work with young adults, work in food bank/clothing bank/counseling center for people in poverty, intern with the DOOR program, homeless work, construction work, or work with low income families.  One day a week is set aside to meet together as a team, to serve together, discuss and develop what discipleship means in your lives and in the work that you are doing. Sundays each participant is to be involved in ministry with local churches. 

Your life will be enriched over the year is many ways; 
Training through study: rich and intensive teaching in Bible, knowing yourself and others, understanding the person and ministry of the Holy Spirit, dying to self/living for Christ, Evangelism and compassion in the post modem world, ministry in urban settings, cross cultural awareness, Anabaptist theology and heritage, developing your own personal gifts for ministry, understanding the church, cross cultural living, social issues. 
Training through Worship: worshiping through various music styles, cultures, disciplines, art, writing, both personal and corporate worship. 
Training through Community: developing spirituality rooted in the Body of Christ complete with problems, conflict, ministry engagement, and incredible teaching and works of God.

Experience life in Denver with the team of 4-6 and a team leader. Volunteer service and outreach with a local church/ministry. Possible internships include, work with young adults, work in food bank/clothing bank/counseling center for people in poverty, intern with the DOOR program, homeless work, construction work, or work with low income family. In addition, a spiritual director will meet regularly with you to continue to help you develop what discipleship means in your life in the work that you are doing. You will also be involved in ministry with the local churches.
